one-point lead in florida. and according to a market university poll he is up by eight points. in colorado the president is up by three points? ohio, he is up by two points. and the most recent polls in nevada and new hampshire have him up there as well. check this out! 332 electoral votes to 188 according -- i think i just knocked that out. to 191. that's from today. the only swing state that shows he is down -- actually tied today but down over all is in north carolina. and then there's pennsylvania. the romney camp made a $120,000 ad buy yesterday and three super pacs supporting romney have poured $6 million into pennsylvania just this week. why, you might ask? well, it's all part of their plan to quote, expand the electoral map. the president is up by four points in pennsylvania and they are still pouring all of that money into it. the poll out today was a franklin and marshall poll. and david axelrod placed an interesting range isser on whether the participate would take minnesota, michigan or pennsylvania. >> i will shave off my mustache if we lose a

on morse street just off of florida avenue. this is a busy warehouse district overnight. these are warehouses that get in a lot of imports and exports, not only goods and products but also a lot of the food here that gets supplied to restaurants around the area. we don't know exactly which warehouse this particular fire was in. we do know it was in the 400 block here. when firefighters got here around 11:00, we believe is when the first notification went out. we do have video of that from last night as well. but definitely there was smoke and heavy flames. at one point, they had to pull all of the teams out of the warehouse they were working in because it was getting too dangerous. they then decided to fight the fire from the outside rather than the inside. for a while, there were portions of florida avenue shut down as well. florida avenue was shut down when we first got here but now i can tell that you florida avenue is back open now this morning. that is good news. we are still waiting to hear from fire investigators on what exactly happened inside here. at this point

to nbc's first read, romney was in florida yesterday and virginia today. he'll also hit wisconsin, ohio, new hampshire, and colorado before the election. the president, this is an interesting map for him, he will be in wisconsin where he is right now with nevada, colorado, ohio, iowa, virginia, and florida. of course, they're sending their number one surrogates, the vp nominee out where they're not going. is this the map centered in ohio, virginia, and florida, is it still where the action is? >> it is for governor romney for sure. it's always been the case that governor romney needs to win florida, needs to win virginia, and pretty much needs to win ohio. even then he still needs to pick up another state somewhere along the way. you can see in his map that he's spending moths of his time in florida, virginia, and ohio and a little bit of time in one of those other states that he thinks he might be able to get a pickup, whether that's wisconsin, whether that's colorado. those are the states he thinks he has the best chance. he's not spending time in iowa. he'll spend two different trips
